Hey guys and gals...

My son just got a message from a friend of his on his friends list about a site that gives away Microsoft Points for free. The site asks for your name, windows live ID and PASSWORD!!!! Obviously my son's friend was dumb enough to give them this information because I don't even think his friend was the one who sent him the message. I think he used the site, got hacked with his own password... and they sent the message out to everyone on his friends list.

I don't think anyone here would ever give out their password to some random non-MS affiliated site... but I thought I'd put the warning out here anyway.

I'm not going to list the site here, because they don't need anymore search engine hits from spiders visiting this site. But suffice it to say it says Microsoft and it involves points for free. Apparently there are several.

Don't fall for it. Anything that asks for your password is a SCAM pure and simple.
